BEIJING -- Italy rallied from a two-goal deficit in the fourth quarter Wednesday at the Yingdong Natatorium to force a 9-9 tie with the United States in a Group A Olympic women's water polo game, but afterward the U.S. team shrugged off the result.
Italy tied it with 22 seconds left on Elisa Casanova's power play goal from point-blank range. The U.S. had the ball and one more chance, but decided to play it safe.
